Eat The Apple

I'm Amity Reed, a midwife, writer and activist. I'm the author of 'Overdue: Birth, burnout and a blueprint for a better NHS' and I host a progressive podcast series called Eat The Apple.
Eat The Apple is aimed at anyone who is interested in exploring the space where the personal meets the political. As a passionate feminist and social justice advocate, much of the show's content critically examines patriarchal norms in our society, so that we might begin to understand and dismantle them. I have a special interest in empowering women and marginalised people to challenge structures of oppression (particularly in healthcare) and hold those in power accountable. I also like to delve into topics that fascinate or move me, such as science, art, motherhood, and how our identities evolve over our lifetime. The show is available on most podcast platforms. I hope you enjoy listening!
